Palace Národní – ensuring pit and capturing historically valuable buildings
Palace Národní – ensuring pit and capturing historically valuable buildings in the Prague city center At the beginning of the second half of 2014 has been completed to ensure a deep pit construction project of the Palace Národní in the city center. The depth of the excavation reaches over 14 m floor is 4 m below the ground water level and about 2 m below the surface of the bedrock. The main part of the perimeter of the building pit is ensured by a body jet grouting anchored at multiple levels. At less than one third of the circuit is used braced shoring accompanied by jet grouting below the level of ground water. Part of ensuring the construction pit is large temporary underpinning of the listed court building wings Mikulandská 7 and using steel construction canopy and barges. The range of measures and technologies applied by Zakládání staveb, a.s., when securing up this deep pit and in capturing the original design of this building is extraordinary and technically remarkable work that we present in the following pages.
