Sanitation of the Ostramo lagoon — drainage frame to prevent contamination spreading
The aim of the landfill sanitation is to eliminate environmental burden inflicted by disposing waste of predominantly petroleum origin in the area of the Ostramo lagoons. The complex sanitation that is planned to be finished in 2014 involves creating of a drainage system with the objective of pumping free phase the non-polar extraktive substance and preventing further spreading of contamination in the line of underground water flow. The Zakládání staveb Co. realised shuttering of a drainage frame for placing the underdrainage including its strutting with a steel frame system. The drainage frame was carried out in an open trench, shuttered on both sides with strutted sheet pile walls made of Larssen IIIn sheet piles and VL 604, 14 m long. Pumping pits that collect contaminated water from the drainage pipes at two height levels are located in the frame line. The total frame length is 600 m, average height reaches 10 m.
