Zakladani staveb, Co., and its branch Zagreb were involved in currently the largest project of its kind in the Adriatic Riviera and the Mediterranean. It was a pile foundation of piers for the Croatian ferry port of Zadar. Marinas comprise four piers and several coastal harbors. Individual piers are based on two to fi ve rows of piles. On the piles was also founded a recirculation channel between a free sea and the pool of a fi shing port. In total, there were realized 359 pieces of piles diameter 1340 mm with extended heel to 1500 mm, embedded from 3,0 to 4,5 m in a healthy bedrock. Works from the water surface have been extremely diffi cult, production of piles was also subject to strčit tolerances: head height ± 5 cm, layout location of up to 10 cm in all directions from the ideal center.
